Digital manufacturing

This course provides a perspective on the discipline of digital manufacturing, with the central focus on the integrated design and modelling of robotised systems considering various sources of information on product and manufacturing processes. The emphasis is given to production and offline programming of robot systems.

The course provides a survival kit and the corresponding references in manufacturing in order to support the choices to be made during the use of CAD and Simulation software. Digital manufacturing systems integrate advanced 3D modelling and simulation tools enabling collaborative product and process design with the specific focus on robotics.

After completing this course, student understands the key principles and tools supporting the digital manufacturing process.
