Industrial robotics

Minor

Tampere University offers minor studies in production automation and industrial robotics. The minor offers both basic and advanced knowledge on design and implementation of discrete production systems. Detailed focus is placed on robotics, PLCs and system integration. The module will teach practical and industry related skills and knowledge.

The module is suitable for persons planning to work in manufacturing enterprises or companies making manufacturing equipment.

For the module it is recommended to have basic knowledge of industrial robotics and manufacturing. Suitable prerequisities can be fulfilled by studying the book Programmable Automation Technologies by Daniel E. Kandray (Industrial Press, 2010).
