Production automation planning

Individual course

After completing the course, students will be able to understand the principles of production automation systems in discrete automation. Student is familiar with the common automation devices used in a production system and can select right devices to a production line. They learn how to implement modern digital manufacturing software to design a production line for a given task. Student understands the principles of the production line layout, feeding and handling systems and overall system design.

Course project work topics are collected from local companies that change from one implementation to another. Visits to companies are arranged.
