Course contents
The course will cover current and relevant topics in digitalization of the raw materials sector. The course is an entry-level introductory course supporting life-long learning.
Aims
The aim of the course is to introduce a chemical engineering professional with the multiple opportunities of digitalization in the raw materials sector.
After completing the course, the student
- will have identified his/her own skill gap in applying digitalization in the raw materials sector.
- will have developed domain-specific knowledge on the possibilities of digitalization to further innovate in his/her domain.

All the materials are available in Moodle.
Prerequisites
Knowledge and understanding of the raw materials sector and the nature of processes and operations within the raw materials sector, typically in the form of a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree.
Course schedule
You can register for this course anytime and start doing this course as soon as the registration process is completed and you get a notification that you have been added to the course at LUT Moodle. After registration you can complete the course at your own pace during a six month period.

Online lectures and interview clips 10 h, self-study 27 h, self-guided exercises 17. Total workload 54 h.
Assessment scale and assessment methods
Pass/Fail, Moodle exam, contributions to discussion forums in Moodle, and a learning diary.
