FITech ICT and EIT Digital Summer School welcome industry professionals with residence in Finland to get hands-on experience in digital business development.

The two-week summer programme combines state-of-the-art excellence in key digital technology with expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E). The Summer Schools focus on Digital Industry, Digital Cities, Digital Wellbeing, Digital Infrastructure and Digital Finance.

The locations are scattered across Europe in Lisbon, Eindhoven, Stockholm, Budapest, Rennes, Tallinn, Trento, Ljubljana, Munich, Bologna and Helsinki. They are perfect for those who want to deep-dive in emerging technologies and learn how to benefit from it in business situations.

FITech ICT early bird offer is 250 euros including accommodation for 2 weeks at one of the European cities!

EIT Digital Summer Schools are part of EIT Digital, a leading European digital innovation and entrepreneurial education organisation driving Europe’s digital transformation. EIT Digital is the Knowledge and Innovation Community of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.

After completion of the Summer School programme, you will be able to:

  • Perform a business planning process in the context of a relevant thematic area.
  • Identify and assess the impact of digital technologies and their transformative power.
  • Understand user value, business life cycles, global market trends, industry value chains, market segments.
  • Understand IPR issues as well as financial and risk-related issues.
  • Apply new acquired presentation and communications skills, decision-making and leadership competencies.
  • Reflect on ethical, societal, scientific and sustainability views as a developer of new products, technologies and business models.

If you are a professional with residence in Finland, not a student at the moment and have a BSc or higher degree and/or long work experience in technology, you may qualify as a participant.

Join the EIT Digital Summer School in any of the 11 designated European cities. The summer school cost is covered by FITech ICT. You need to cover travel expenses.

Accommodation offer: 250 euros for 12 nights. In this case, you will have a shared room with one or more of the other participants. All seats and accommodation are subject to availability. Apply now!

Each Summer School programme consists of a pre-arrival online assignment (starter kit), two weeks of lectures, project work, customer interviews, site visits to companies, socializing events and a report.

At each Summer School, EIT Digital partners present business cases to crack. That you will do in teams with other participants. Each team will present their solution to the business case owners on the final day of the Summer School and the jury will appoint one winning team.

An individual final Report will be completed within 2 weeks after the summer school. This is a requirement for gaining the 4 ECTS credits.
