Course contents
The course provides the student the ability to analyse battery and mechanical electricity storages and water electrolysis and fuel cell plants at system level. The student will learn how to model the components and systems, and study the energy efficiency and dynamics of the systems.
Learning outcomes
After having passed the course you will be able to
- identify the main components in electrochemical and mechanical electricity storage and conversion systems
- dimension the system components in the energy storage and conversion systems
- analyse the control systems in the energy storage and conversion systems
- know the basics of relevant regulations, norms, and standards in the energy storage and conversion systems.
Teaching methods
The course is organised online and the lectures are recorded. Project work is done as group work in groups of 3-4 students.
Completion methods
The course includes lectures and project works. Evaluation is based on the project works.
