Speech and audio to text
The course covers the basic principles and methods of translating speech and audio to text.
Both human-led methods and automatic technologies are introduced, including audio captioning, print interpreting, speech recognition, re-speaking.
After completing the course, the student will
- know the basic principles of audio and speech captioning.
- understand differences between human and machine-produced methods and captions.
- have basic knowledge of how to produce text alternatives for speech and audio.
