Application to FITech courses

About FITech studies

You can choose courses from one or several FITech network university’s host universities and apply for a study right with one form. Course-specific application deadlines and information about the FITech student quotas can be found on each course’s own course page. If the course you have chosen includes attendance on campus, please check the schedule. The Opin.fi service and fitech.io site’s application deadlines can differ.

To apply and confirm the study place you need to have a Finnish personal identity code and use Finnish strong e-identification.

Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)

FITech courses are arranged with a schedule and continuously on-going (in your own pace). A part of  the courses are MOOC courses. Read more about MOOC courses. These online courses can be studied freely online, you don’t need to apply for a study right.

Choose an adult learner or a degree student application form.

You are an adult learner if

  • You are not currently studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a Finnish higher education institution. If you are e.g. employed, unemployed, second-degree student (high school or vocational school), doctoral student, open university student or outside labour force, please apply as adult learner.
  • You are counted as a degree student when you have a right to study a degree in a Finnish higher education institution; also if you’ve enrolled as absent or you work full time.
  • Doctoral student: If the course is organised by your home university, don’t apply through FITech, enrol to the course in the registration system of your university.

You are a degree student if

  • You are currently studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a Finnish higher education institute. You are counted as a degree student also if you’ve enrolled as absent. If you are studying at the Open university, you are not a degree student.
  • If the course is organised by your home university, don’t apply through FITech, enrol to the course in the registration system of your university.
