FITech renews its teaching cooperation agreement starting January 1, 2026. The change affects some degree students’ FITech studies.
In October, we informed that FITech’s teaching cooperation agreement will be renewed starting January 1, 2026, which results in some changes to the spring application period for degree students. The change will not affect adult learners (continuing education) or degree students from FITech universities. FITech universities include Aalto University, LUT University, Tampere University, University of Eastern Finland, University of Jyväskylä, University of Oulu, University of Turku, University of Vaasa, and Åbo Akademi University.
Degree students from higher education institutions that have signed the new agreement can continue to apply for courses offered through FITech. If you are a degree student at a higher education institution other than a FITech university, and your home institution has not signed FITech’s new teaching cooperation agreement, unfortunately, you cannot apply for courses through FITech.
Additionally, degree students from these higher education institutions can still apply for FITech courses:
- Arcada University of Applied Sciences
- Centria University of Applied Sciences
- Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences
- Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences
- Kajaani University of Applied Sciences
- Karelia University of Applied Sciences
- LAB University of Applied Sciences
- Lapland University of Applied Sciences
- Laurea University of Applied Sciences
- Novia University of Applied Sciences
- Oulu University of Applied Sciences
- Satakunta University of Applied Sciences
- Savonia University of Applied Sciences
- Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences
- South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences
- Hanken School of Economics
- Turku University of Applied Sciences
- University of Lapland
- University of the Arts Helsinki
- Vaasa University of Applied Sciences
Degree students from FITech universities and the higher education institutions listed above can apply for FITech’s spring 2026 courses. The application period for these degree students starts on Monday, December 1, 2025.
During 2026, FITech will prepare the implementation of the cross-institutional studies service (RIPA). This may impact degree students starting from the summer and fall 2026 course offerings. More information about this will be provided later on FITech’s channels.
