You don’t have to apply to the course Web Software Development. Just go to the course platform and start studying! You can find the link at the end of this page.
Registering the ECTS
Please notice that in order to get the credits registered, you need Finnish strong identification to log into Studyinfo using e.g. online banking credentials.
Adult learners
If you want to get the study credits officially registered to Aalto University’s register and receive a FITech digital badge, you need to fill in an application in the Studyinfo service (Opintopolku) after completing the course. You will find instructions on how to do this on the course platform.
Degree students
If you want to get the study credits officially registered to Aalto University’s register, you need to fill in an application in the Studyinfo service (Opintopolku) after completing the course. You will find instructions on how to do this on the course platform.
Changes in registering the credits for degree students: FITech renews its teaching cooperation agreement starting January 1, 2026. Degree students from FITech universities can apply for credits the same way as before. If your home institution has signed the new teaching cooperation agreement, you can apply for credits from FITech MOOC’s also after December 31, 2025. But, if your home institution is not part of the new teaching cooperation agreement, you can complete the course only without the ECTS. We will inform the participating institutions here by the end of November 2025.
If your home institution is not part of the new teaching cooperation agreement, you can get the ECTS from FITech MOOC’s by finishing the course and applying for the credits in Studyinfo by December 31, 2025.
