Introduction to European health data space will guide you through the European Health Data Space (EHDS) Regulation, which is set to redefine how health data is accessed for healthcare, and even for research and innovation purposes. Essentially, your health data can contribute to someone else’s healthcare.

After the course, the students
- can describe the basics of digital health and healthcare in the EU
- can describe the EHDS regulation, its motivation, and its implications
- can identify different types of health data along with their properties
- understand health data quality criteria and the FAIR use principles
- have acquired a working knowledge of the infrastructure proposed to implement EHDS
- understand the security and privacy requirements in the context of EHDS and digital health
- recognise the relevance of legislations like GDPR, Act on Secondary use of data, Data Act, AI Act, etc.

Completion methods
- Students must complete all the tasks (e.g., quizzes and similar graded tasks) to get 2 ECTS.
- In order to get 3 ECTS, students must write an innovation report, which will be evaluated as accepted or rejected by the teachers. The 3 ECTS will be granted only after this evaluation.
