The FITech ICT project, which has provided more than 60,000 study credits of ICT studies, will conclude in summer 2026
Launched in 2019 and funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture, the FITech ICT project will end on 31 July 2026. During the project, the FITech network has provided adult learners and degree students with more than 60,000 ECTS credits’ worth of ICT studies. The project’s final report will be published in autumn 2026.
The network’s collaboration continues in other FITech projects
Collaboration within the FITech network is ongoing and will continue in other FITech projects. In the future, FITech’s thematic ICT and digitalisation group will coordinate collaboration and planning of the course offering in the field of ICT. Courses related to ICT topics will continue to be offered via FITech in the future.
Ongoing projects include, for example, FITech 5G and FITech Health Technology, and new projects and forms of collaboration are being planned continuously. Read more about ongoing projects.
Changes to the course offering
As the FITech ICT project concludes, there will be changes to FITech’s course offering and schedules during spring and summer 2026. Some of the current ICT courses will no longer be available through FITech, while others will continue under other FITech projects. Courses that will no longer be available through FITech will be available, for example, through open universities.
Course-specific information, such as availability, application deadline, final completion date, and final deadline for claiming study credits, will be updated on each course’s own FITech page as the information becomes confirmed. See the information on the course’s FITech page or directly with the university organising the course.
FITech reserves the right to make changes to course schedules.
MOOCs and continuously ongoing courses
The changes apply to scheduled courses and ICT-related MOOC courses and continuously ongoing courses offered via FITech. Please note that for some MOOCs and continuously ongoing courses, the application period will end as early as March 2026.
Please check each course’s page for schedules and other course-specific details.
MOOCs and continuously running courses will continue to be available through FITech. Courses include, for example, topics in 5G technology and energy storage, and you can find them on FITech’s website.
