The application period for autumn courses is approaching
The application period for this autumn’s FITech courses starts on Wednesday, 3 June 2026 at 9:00. The offering includes courses related to topics such as leadership, sustainability, cybersecurity, future technologies, and mathematics.
We aim to publish the courses on FITech’s website by the start of the application period. Please note that not all autumn courses may be available on the FITech website when the application opens; some courses may be added later. Contrary to earlier information, the autumn FITech course offering will not be published on the Opin.fi service.
Adult learners apply for the courses the same way as before in Studyinfo (Opintopolku) starting from 3 June 2026. There will be changes to the application process for degree students.
Changes to the application process for degree students
Degree students will apply for some FITech courses in the cross-institutional study service (RIPA) instead of Studyinfo. The first courses to be transferred to RIPA are energy-related courses. Other FITech courses will be transferred to the service later.
How to apply for FITech’s autumn courses as a degree student:
- Energy-related courses: Apply in RIPA starting from 1 August 2026.
- Other courses: Apply in Studyinfo starting from 3 June 2026.
Information about the application channel for degree students (Studyinfo or RIPA) can be found on each course’s own page. If the course is applied for through RIPA, there is a text at the bottom of the course page saying “Please note! Degree students enroll on this course via RIPA. More instructions here“.
If a course is included in the RIPA agreement, the application period for degree students starts on 1 August 2026. You can apply for FITech courses available in RIPA starting from 1 August if your home university and degree programme are included in the RIPA agreement. If your university and degree programme are not included in the agreement, you unfortunately cannot study that course through FITech.
The universities and degree programmes included in the RIPA agreements will be updated on FITech’s “Cross-institutional studies for degree students” page once the agreement has been signed, however no later than at the end of July.
