This module introduces you to accessible media.

Course contents

Media accessibility is concerned with how media content and services can be accessed by people who are not able to access them in their original form. The module includes basic information about media accessibility and a movie clip that follows the principles of accessible filmmaking.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student will

  • know what media accessibility is.
  • understand the benefits of media accessibility.
  • understand that the status of media accessibility varies in different countries.

Completion methods

Independent assignments and final essay. The course can be completed at your own pace.
