Max amount of FITech students: 100

The course focuses on installing, managing and using modern cloud platforms. The students learn how to use and manage services in commercial platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform. Moreover, students learn how to setup their own cloud platform.

Course content:

  1. Basics of virtualisation
  2. Using commercial platforms
  3. Installing and managing open source cloud platforms
  4. Risks of virtualisation
  5. Fundamental ideas behind cloud computing
  6. Programming models in the cloud

This is an online course that has a Moodle exam. The student is required to own a modern computer with at least 16 GB RAM.

After you have got a study right by applying for this course at FITech, remember to enrol for the course at Tampere University’s Sisu system. The enrolment period for the course starts on 13.9.2020 00:00 and ends on 11.10.2020 23:59. Remember to enroll separately for the exam and independent study. The Moodle course page will open later.
