This course is aimed for students interested in learning

  1. how do open electricity markets work in general and in the Nordic/Baltic region in particular
  2. what have been the motivations and principles of electricity market deregulation, and
  3. how does the Nordic power exchange work.

This knowledge will support the decision making related to electricity market actions in strategic and operational planning of the companies and other stakeholders.
