Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to
- use basic concepts of information systems
- recognise challenges regarding the use of information systems and users
- describe the basics of organisation, e.g., its structure and function
- recognise different types of information systems and their roles in an organisation
- describe how organisational knowledge is formed and recognise the challenges of managing it
- recognise ethical and social challenges related to information systems
- describe the role of information systems in leadership and decision-making
- recognise the possibilities of information systems renewal and the financial impact of it, as well as
- understand the history of information systems science.
Teaching schedule
The course materials will be available on the Moodle page when the course begins. The course includes a few Zoom sessions, which will be announced on Moodle. At the end of the course, there is a practical final exam that you can take in a exam room. Lectures are not mandatory to pass the course, but the exam is.
