A unique opportunity put your hands dirty with real networking hardware! Laboratory works about transmission and networking technology include communication networks, LANs , routing protocols (OSPF, BGP etc.), VoIP, VPN, DNS, security etc.

Course contents

Laboratory works about transmission and networking technology including signalling in telephone networks, routing in networks and different services.

Learning outcomes

Students understand how communication networks function in practice.

Completion methods

In total 5 labs must be done to complete the course. A single laboratory work consists of a preliminary work, a lab session (3-5 hours depending on the lab) and a final report. All the work is done in a group of two students. The lab times can be agreed with each group.
