Wood construction and water supply systems
The courses cover topics such as wood as a technical material, design of wooden structures, business models in construction, and the importance of water supply systems and services to society.
The studies are particularly well-suited for individuals who work in expert or managerial positions in fields related to wood construction and water supply systems, or who are interested in expanding their expertise in these areas. Please check the course prerequisites before applying. A higher education level engineering degree often provides suitable qualifications to complete the courses. The courses will be offered several times during the years 2025–26.
Business development and energy transition
In these courses, you can learn about various business models, sustainable development, and industrial innovations.
You can apply for these courses with a wide range of educational backgrounds, and the studies are suitable for experts, for example, developing sustainable business models or working with the energy transition. These courses will be held only once in the spring of 2025.

Applications for all university courses are submitted via the FITech application form on Studyinfo (Opintopolku). Applications will be processed after the application deadline.

Funding
The training has been funded by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), which is the key instrument of the EU’s Recovery Facility (NextGenerationEU). The financing has been granted by the Service Centre for Continuous Learning and Employment. The Service Centre promotes the competence development of working-age people and the availability of skilled labour. The operations of the Service Centre are overseen by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.
