Gamification: Theory, practice and design
Individual course
This course examines the theoretical understanding of gamification, the practical use of gamification as well as the design behind gamification. The course is divided into two parts: a series of lectures on four principal areas of gamification followed by a series of seminars in which students work in groups and select a topic for further investigation.
The course is designed to deepen knowledge on the theory, practice and design of gamification, enabling students to gain expertise on how gamification can be defined, theorised and designed as well as how it manifests in technology, culture and organisations.
